About NFP
New Film Productions, a motion picture and television production company, was founded by Antonio Franceschi in the summer of 1989. New Film Productions is a minority-owned production company composed of an innovative and artistic staff and freelancers. 
In 1990, New Film Productions was awarded the Gold Can Award for its outstanding public service campaign against gang violence. In 1992, New Film Productions received an honorable mention at the Chicago International Film Festival for its two-minute spot entitled, “Don't Drink and Drive.” In 1998, New Film Productions produced and collaborated with WSNS-Telemundo to successfully broadcast “Siempre Caliente,” a Latin entertainment magazine format show.
New Film Productions' most recent project is a full feature film entitled Urban Poet. The film premiered at the 19th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival filling every venue. Urban Poet has been featured on numerous publications and television outlets and was highly recommended by Roger Ebert, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist. Mayor Richard Daley and the Chicago City Council also honored New Film Productions by declaring April 11th to be “Urban Poet Day” in Chicago. 
New Film Productions' mission is to be a leader in the creation and promotion of quality informational and entertaining programs for the television, cable and theatrical markets. New Film Productions combines the infinite power of the media to provide beneficial and educational information through the use of inspiring stories to reach an ethnically diverse audience.
