College Tour
New Film Production is preparing to release its newest documentary project titled "Chicago's Puerto Rican Story." NFP will travel to various colleges and universities across the country during Hispanic Heritage month to “Celebrate the Contributions of Latinos in the U.S." NFP plans to hold a special film screening of "Chicago's Puerto Rican Story" or "Urban Poet" at each participating institution. A Q&A forum regarding the films will follow each screening. The independent film, Urban Poet, caused a major buzz in Chicago and was highly recommended by film critic Roger Ebert during the 19th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival. The film has screened at various universities across the United States including Northwestern University, University of Nebraska at Kearney, DePaul University, Mills College, Grand Valley State University, Oberlin College, Williams College and Bradley University.
